“Big Gigantic used projections to light up the already beautiful rocks and introduced three tiers of LED screens creating a 3-D experience for everyone at Red Rocks. Their visuals blew everyone who played at Red Rocks this summer away…Overall, Rowdytown was one of the best shows put on at Red Rocks this summer. They did what they came to do—put on a great show, have amazing visuals, play good music and express the love they have for the state who made them who they are today.”

Coming on the heels of their two sold-out headlining shows at New York City’s Terminal 5 (March 11 and 12) and the release of their new single “The Little Things,” acclaimed electronic music group BIG GIGANTIC has officially announced the details for their annual Colorado festival “ROWDYTOWN.” The fifth installment of the Boulder-based duo’s massive hometown show—voted the #1 EDM show by Denver’s Westword in 2012–returns to the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre for two nights: Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24. Tickets for “Rowdytown V” are on sale now (Thursday, March 17) via http://bit.ly/Rowdytown5.

As it has over the last couple years, the supporting lineups for each night of “Rowdytown V” will feature some of the brightest upcoming talent and differ nightly, contributing to a weekend-long dance party. Joining BIG GIGANTIC–Dominic Lalli (saxophonist/producer) and Jeremy Salken (drummer)–will be American producer and DJ Kill The Noise, Canadian DJ Vanic and Chicago-based electronic music duo Louis The Child on Friday (9/23), with trap producer Marshmello, Denver-based melodic bass producer Illenium and 19-year-old Swedish producer Kasbo on Saturday (9/24).

Upon its debut in 2012 to a sold-out crowd of more than 9,500 fans, Rowdytown marked the first time an artist ever used projection mapping visuals on the famous rocks of Red Rocks. The one-of-a-kind experience, which has sold out in advance every year, has featured an exciting list of artists on its lineups including Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Dillon Francis, GRiZ, Adventure Club, Manic Focus, Snails, RL Grime, Jauz, The Motet and many more.

Meanwhile, BIG GIGANTIC’s new song “The Little Things,” featuring vocals from singer-songwriter Angela McCluskey, first premiered on Billboard.com (3/2) and can be heard on SoundCloud HERE, where it’s been played over 347,000 times since its release, or downloaded for FREE via their website www.biggigantic.net. “The Little Things” has been receiving rave reviews with ThisSongIsSick.com hailing, “the song feels like an evolution of the BG sound we’ve grown to love. It starts off more laid back and mellow than we’ve heard from them, with Angela’s smooth vocals setting the track off right. Quickly enough, the song moves to a drop with just the right amount of a bass-fueled punch alongside Dom’s signature sax lines” (3/2/16). The track—selected by Entertainment Weekly as one of their “Best Songs Of the Week” March 4—debuted at #21 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, reached #2 on the iTunes Electronic Singles chart, and, upon its release, received over 850,000 streams on Spotify, where it’s Top 3 on the site’s U.S. Viral Chart and Top 5 on their Global Viral 50 chart, with over 1 million plays.

BIG GIGANTIC–one of the most celebrated acts in live music right now–will soon embark on a three-week spring headlining tour throughout the Midwest and east coast. The festival favorites are also set to appear at the Shaky Beats Festival, Lightning In a Bottle, Forecastle Festival and Backwoods Festival, among others. See below for full list of upcoming tour dates. Tickets for the group’s headlining shows are available via biggigantic.net.

About BIG GIGANTIC:
Formed in 2008, the Boulder, CO-based duo of saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli (classically trained with a master’s degree in jazz from the Manhattan School of Music) and drummer Jeremy Salken interpret traditional DJ-based music with live instruments and have successfully created an innovative, distinct sound that’s all their own. Their transcendent live shows are a showcase of brilliant improvisation and a tightly-knit bond between Salken and Lalli, who breathlessly alternates between keys, sax and laptop, building a futuristic wall of sound that keeps the crowd on its feet. Their latest album, THE NIGHT IS YOUNG, was released in February 2014 as a free download on their website www.biggigantic.net, and has logged over 700,000 downloads to date.  Their 2015 single, “Get On Up” had great success having been featured on the hit FOX TV series “So You Think You Can Dance?,” in a national Mountain Dew commercial and in the trailer for the Robert DeNiro/Zac Efron film Dirty Grandpa. Other releases include Fire It Up (2009), Wide Awake (2009), A Place Behind The Moon (2010) and 2012’s Nocturnal (which has received more than one million downloads to date). BIG GIGANTIC have spent the last few years on various sold-out headlining tours across the country and received rave reviews from their many festival appearances that have included Coachella, Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, Hangout, Austin City Limits, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo (teaming with their good friend Skrillex to be a part of and act as Musical Director of his Bonnaroo Superjam, featuring the likes of Lauryn Hill, Mystikal, Robbie Krieger from The Doors, Damian Marley, Janelle Monae and more; check out the performances along with behind-the-scenes footage here: http://uverse.com/bonnaroo), Electric Forest and Outside Lands, among many others. Meanwhile, their annual Rowdytown festival at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado—now entering its fifth year—sells out way in advance every year.  Look for more from BIG GIGANTIC, the act who broke the saxophone into dance music, to come very soon.

General Admission tickets are $44.75 plus applicable service charges. Two day passes $75. All ages are welcome.
