Colorado Music Hall of Fame
Discover Old Friends and New Music
Located inside the Trading Post, the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, presented by Comfort Dental, is Colorado’s premier contemporary music museum. The dynamic new environment is designed for visitors of all ages, before and after concerts, and day-trippers just coming to enjoy the park. Open 9am-4pm, it’s a place where fans of Colorado home grown music learn about our amazing and diverse musical legacy. From John Denver to five-time Grammy winner Dianne Reeves, the Hall is a place to discover old friends and new music. Visitors to Red Rocks need only follow the signs to the Trading Post, which is on the east side of the amphitheater just below the main stage.
“It is tremendously exciting to see how far we’ve come in just a few short years,” Founder Chuck Morris says. “Our thanks go out to the folks at Comfort Dental, all of our other amazing donors and the City of Denver for making it possible to be on the Red Rocks campus.”
Colorful and entertaining exhibits are devoted to the more than 50 Colorado artists who have been inducted since the Hall opened in 2011. Music history comes alive – showcasing memorabilia and kiosks that profile each inductee with bios, photos, audio and videos. There are also new displays and interactive elements featuring Colorado legends from Glen Miller to Phillip Bailey of Earth Wind & Fire. One of the CMHOF’s premier artifacts, the John Denver “Spirit” statue, greets visitors and welcomes them into the Hall. Thousands of John Denver fans worldwide have registered their excitement and approval in a flurry of social media posts.
The mission of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, a non-profit organization, is to honor those musicians, individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to Colorado’s musical legacy, to preserve and protect historical artifacts, and to educate the public regarding everything that’s great about Colorado music.
